Telescopes

The Club owns several telescopes that are available for use by club members. Information about each of these loaner telescopes is shown below. Club members in good standing can borrow one of these loaner telescopes for a period of 3 months. To check availability or borrow a telescope, contact the Loaner Telescope Coordinator at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  or a club officer.

In addition to the loaner telescopes, the Club has a 24 inch reflector housed in the Robert C. Morris Observatory. It is available on Club observing nights and must be operated by a trained Club member.

The Robert C. Morris Observatory was dedicated on October 1, 1994 and has been in use ever since. This unique observatory is computer-controlled and permits comfortable viewing from a stationary eyepiece inside the building. It was featured in David Levy's Star Trails column in the October 2001 issue of Sky & Telescope magazine.
